It is so easy to criticize what I don’t understand. Saying things like “why is that happening” “that is so dumb” “They just want attention”.
I’ve even found it easier to make fun of and mock the people or ideas I don’t agree with or truly “get”.
Once we can take to heart what Jesus said about loving our neighbor as ourself we can start to see a transformation happen in our hearts.
Loving God is not a visible expression. It is an internal desire of the soul, and is shown when we love others.
So loving others is the outward and visible expression, of the inward love we have of God.
Love for God becomes visible when we love others. Truly, our love for God is “fulfilled” when we love others.
All of scripture and His plans all “HANG” on this great piece of scripture.
Mark 12.30-31 – Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second one is this: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no commandments greater than these.
When we love Him with all our heart, we can’t help to love each other as we love ourselves.
Taking this to heart, we can start to see a shift in the amount of criticism and judgements we place on many others.
