1st CrossFit Competition

I am very excited about my first ever CrossFit Competition this weekend!

I am not expecting to win, but I am expecting to go all out and give it my all! I am again so thankful for CrossFit Katy and how they have helped me to get in great shape and lose 22lbs in the past 2 months with encouraging me to eat right and work out.

Below is the workout for this weekends competition at the BCS Games 2012 in college station.
I am entering the “Scaled” Division which is lighter weight thean the “Elite” I am super excited..

I have also included 3 motivational CrossFit Videos at the bottom!

The 2012 edition of the BCS Games will have 3 WODs conducted in heat fashion, and 1 “floater” WOD conducted during a set period of time Saturday morning.

WOD 1, 8am – 11am:
For time:
700m run, 15 DL, 700m Run

*DL- elite @ 225/185, scaled @ 185/135
*10 Min Cut-off

WOD 2, 11am – 1pm:
For total reps/cals:
3 Min AMRAP – Sand Bag Get Ups
Rest 1 min
2 min AMCAP – Calorie Row
Rest 1 min
1 min AMRAP – double unders

*Sandbags- elite @ 75/60#, scaled @ 60/40#
*elites do double unders, scaled do runners (alternating single leg single unders)

WOD 3, 1pm – 3pm:
For time:
25 DB thrusters @ 30/20#
50 ft overhead DB carry
50 box jump-overs @ 24/18
50 ft overhead DB carry
25 burpees
50 ft overhead DB carry
50 kb swings @ 35/26#
50 ft overhead DB carry
25 burpees
50 ft overhead DB carry
25 DB thrusters @30/20#

*18 Min Cut-off

ELITE- 8am – 9:30am
3 attempts to find 1RM Snatch

SCALED- 9:30am – 11:00am
3 attempts to find 1RM Clean

*while elites are “floating”, scaled is doing WOD 1. Then while scaled “floats”, elites do WOD 1*
