Tiger Woods..

Tiger Woods has been a huge icon these past few weeks in the news, and the media. Everyone is taking shots at him for the mistakes that he has made. I understand that he did mess up and what he has done is very wrong. But so is lying, stealing, gossip, slander, lust – and everything else that people do on a daily basis. I think that people at times will highlight other peoples mistakes to help cover up theirs. We all sin! God says that we should not judge them for what they do. (Luke 6.37) It is killing me to listen to what Christians are saying about Tiger Woods. I truly feel that as Christians we need to stop throwing rocks at a man who has made some mistakes. Who are we to judge him, when is the last time you messed up? What if the media took your “mistake” and plastered it up all over the place. I think that instead of kicking someone when they are down. We should be praying for them, that somehow someone will speak into his life, and tell him “hey it is ok, God’s grace is enough, now let me tell you about Jesus.” That would be a better story to talk about…

John 8.7
“When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
