Speaker Guy

This past week I had the opportunity to go to a church and speak at their D.Now for a weekend. I had a great time and God totally moved, 15 student gave their lives to Christ and I am so pumped about it. I was not sure what was going to happen, and God said He did and it was huge. Now I realized allot about myself that weekend, I realized that I am called to the local church. I am called to the daily grind, the Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings and the love of students that God has placed me over in the Local Church. I missed the students that I serve, I missed my church.
So many people want to grow up and be a speaker guy, I understand that it could be a great “idea.” But if you are not seriously supposed to be doing it, then don’t because your probably not very good and you are trying to make your name known not HIS… I am glad that I went, but from now on I will be saying no, to most invites to do speaking deals. Not because I don’t like it, but because I am called to serve the local church. I feel like the time that I was gone I was cheating on my students and that I was not there for them. I am not sure if this makes since, but here is what I am saying. I am saying that I love the students here and I will continue to give them my all. Stay faithful to where you serve, stop trying to make your name known and work on making His name known in the area you are currently serving.
