Water or Sports Drinks?
- Most of us don’t exercise hard enough to need sports drinks with electrolytes. We need to be drinking water.
- You need to drink 4-6 ounces of water for every 15-20 minutes of exercise. That is alot of water, but the more you drink the longer you can go.
- Sports drinks don’t hydrate more than water, we drink more of them because of the flavor and colors.
- You can get a carbohydrate boost from sports drinks, in addition to electrolytes which may be lost from perspiration.
- So DRINK water…
